CIGE adopts a collaborative approach to evidence analysis. A range of analytical methods are used to search and review evidence, serving to identify, record and structure critical information about the crimes, suspects and ISIS structures. This process allows CIGE to establish factual circumstances about the crimes committed and combine this with legal analysis. Identification of patterns of conduct or criminality is also undertaken alongside the organisational structures of the ISIS entities involved in committing these atrocities. This supports the development of crime-based case files, perpetrator profiles and analytical responses to Requests for Assistance (‘RFAs’) from competent law enforcement agencies.
